The location was great. It was close to the train, restaurants, and cafes. The staff was nice and the hotel made a GREAT base for exploration. The room size was good for this city.
The sauna did not work. We lost time going to the reception. The staff did NOT offer compensation for the inconvenience. This was disappointing considering the hotel's reputation.

hamman malfunctionno compensation
The hamman was out of service, a MAJOR disappointment. I specifically booked the half-hour private access. It took time to even report it to reception. There was NO compensation offered, not even extra time or a partial refund. This really soured the experience given the hotel's reputation.

I found the location convenient. It was a short walk to many sights. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. My room was super clean and quiet. I enjoyed that it had been modernized with all the comforts.
The cleaning staff sometimes left bags of laundry in the hallways. This occurred for long periods. It detracted from the otherwise well-appointed hotel.

The front desk provided maps and directions. They also helped with restaurant recommendations and reservations (which was really useful!). The staff were available 24/7, always ready to assist with a smile.

The breakfast offered fresh pastries, fruits, and a selection of cheeses. I especially enjoyed the coffee, which was rich and flavorful. There were also gluten-free options available.

i stayed for one night. i booked a half hour for private access to the sauna and hamman. the hamman did not work. the staff said it needed 20 minutes to start. i received no compensation for this inconvenience.
